The characterization of flow through Pelton hydro turbines allows the optimization their operation and maximization energy performance. in injector free jet area (the from outlet surface to runner bucket inlet surface) is influenced by several parameters: geometry components (nozzle spear), opening, turbine head. parameters (velocity distribution, pressure spread) are reflected efficiency. research presented this paper focuses on numerical a microturbine. Three geometries were considered, with different nozzle diameters: 13.3 mm, 14.4 16.3 mm. For each these geometries, was analyzed for five values head (H = 15 m, H 20 25 30 35 m) six opening (S 3 S 6 9 12 18 mm). results simulations used plot flow-rate characteristics force resultant spear nozzle). highest influence rate variation given head, followed diameter. Increasing diameter accentuates versus axial velocity four sections parallel section injector. openings that generate velocity/pressure highlighted. allow functional increasing efficiency optimizing design process microturbines.
